When you think of the dobro or resonator guitar, one of your first thoughts has to be Jerry Douglas. He has truly taken the instrument to new levels with his skill and diversity. He has been a guest artist on countless albums in multiple genres, as well as fronting his own bands and being the featured artist of Allison Krauss’s Union Station. He exemplifies the second generation of bluegrass artists that has taken the music to new heights and led the way for some of the new forms of music that have been spawned from the traditional bluegrass sound.
